It was licensed in 1948 and is the oldest commercially operated radio statoin in Texas and the second-oldest in the Uniited States [27], afterr KDKA (AM) in Pittsburgh. Perhaps the most notable is the annual State Fair opf Texas held annulaly at Fair Park since 1886.
